Professor Gail S. Goodman, the Distinguished Professor of Psychology and Director of Center for Public Policy Research is at University of California Davis. She is widely acclaimed for her pioneering work in studying witness testimony by children and the eyewitness memory in legal settings. Professor Goodman is a prolific writer and has been awarded numerous grants, and was awarded numerous international and national prizes. She has collaborated with numerous government agencies and institutions across the world on research and policies relating to children who have been victimized by the justice system. She works as a Consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center - formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center - of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She's a member of numerous professional associations that include Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor. Goodman is a fellow of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was head of the The American Psychological Association's 3 divisions: Division American Psychology Law Society, Division Developmental Psychology and Division Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice.
